DESCRIPTION:

Based in Abergavenny, you will be responsible for coordinating the weekly work schedule of support workers within the Merthyr and Caerphilly area. You will work closely with support staff to ensure that all service user needs are met and all service user calls are covered at all times. You must have a professional and friendly manner both in person and on the telephone as you will regularly communicate with external professionals, support staff, service users and their families. You will be required to partake in the out-of-hours on call rota as determined by the Branch Manager.

You are also required to supervise and appraise support workers according to company requirements, ensuring to record and submit appropriate paperwork in a timely manner. Also, to induct, train and deliver community based training with all support workers, working flexibly to suit the training needs of support workers.

Candidates will be required to have good planning and organisatinal skills, a good level of computer literacy, be flexible and have the ability to cope well under pressure.

TITLE:
CONTRACTS MANAGER (Merthyr)

DESCRIPTION:

To work flexibly (over a seven day period) monitoring the current/new
services provided by Q-Care ensuring that they are delivered in
accordance with current care standards and the company’s policies and
procedures.

Responsible for the management and development of the company’s
business in the Merthyr region.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Ensuring all service users receive an induction to the services Q-Care provides
prior to commencement of service. This may at times include evenings or weekends.

Ensuring all services are risk assessed prior to commencement of service to
comply with Health and Safety Act. This may at times include evenings or weekends.

Carrying out Service Needs Assessmenst in participation with the service user, their representative and any other stake-holders involved prior to commencement of service.
Attending reviews of care packages with other stake-holders involved when requested.

Performing Quality Reviews with service users to monitor the quality of service provided by Q-Care.

Carrying out all tasks in such a way that maintains the service user’s independence and dignity, having regard for their chosen lifestyle, and respect and care for all their property.

Ensuring the maintenance of service user and support worker files and required
documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Building and providing effective management of a team of Support Managers and Locality

Assisting the Regional Business Manager in ensuring that we meet all statutory and contractual obligations/requirements. Also managing the Branch Office in meeting all legal obligations in relation to staff, property, data protection and national care standards.

Representing Q Care as a provider of high quality care and support and to promote the services of Q Care to all interested parties.

Devising and maintaining an out of hours on call rota, carrying out on-call duties on a rota basis as provided. Also providing out of hours support to staff and Service Users.

TITLE:
SUPPORT WORKER
HOURS: Flexible
DURATION: Permanent
DESCRIPTION:

Working in your local community, you will assist vulnerable and elderly individuals with daily tasks to enable them to maintain their independence in their own home.

Duties can include:

Personal Care - involves assisting the service user with tasks of a more sensitive nature such as bathing, showering, dressing, toileting and night-sitting.

Practical (Domestic) Care - the aim of this service is to provide support for the service user with tasks such as shopping, cleaning, bed making and laundry.

Nutritional Care - involves assisting service users with preparation of hot meals, eating, food hygiene and menu planning.

No experience necessary as full training will be provided to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care including an accredited induction training.

Hours are flexible but are we are especially interested in applicants who can work early mornings, evenings or weekends.

Travel expenses will be paid at 29p per mile.

TITLE:
CASUAL SUPPORT WORKER
HOURS: Flexible
DURATION: Casual
DESCRIPTION:

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Q Care Limited who are a domiciliary care company looking to recruit casual Support Workers. Duties will include providing personal (assisting with washing, dressing, preparing meals etc) and domestic (shopping and cleaning etc) care to our clients in their own homes. Experience is not essential as full training will be given to NVQ Level 2 in Care.

We require bank staff to cover for Annual Leave and Sickness, hours can be to suit the individual.
